It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years since we’ve roamed the halls of LHE!  We all share so many of the same experiences from those days, yet each and every one of us has our own unique and personal memories of our high school days!  From friends to teachers, teams to clubs, science projects to art projects, Home Ec to Drafting, your first car to your first kiss, parties to detentions, football games to dances, and everything else that made up our school days.  Some of us even remember our old locker combinations!  (Yes, you know who you are!)  Now these are days gone by, yet still alive in our hearts and in our minds, and will always be a part of who we are.

Through this page we hope to reunite old friends, refresh old memories, and keep everyone up to date on our upcoming reunion.  We’d like to encourage everyone to make suggestions to help improve our site, and to spread the word about this site to fellow alumni!  Please view the alumni directory and take a minute to fill in the form to submit your information for your profile page.

06/02/07 update: From Laura (Mertz) Pokas:  "I am excited to say that I deposited the Grill Room today for August 4 7p-Midnight.  I am still working on the cost, but it will most likely run around $30pp for appetizer buffet and open bar."

06/01/07 update: Hello again!  Laura (Mertz) Pokas is securing the Grill Room at Partridge Creek for our reunion... please please please let us know if plan to attend so we can move forward with the plans and attend to the details!!  ... Hope to see you there!

05/25/07 update: Hi there '77 graduates!!  Guess what??  It's another monumental year... the 30 year anniversary of our graduation!!  How can that be??  I don't know about you, but I'm bewildered at how fast those years have past!  We all know what this means ... It's REUNION TIME!!  Time to settle on when/where/how we will celebrate by reuniting the Class of '77!!  We have a tentative date in mind of Saturday, August 4, 2007... Some ideas have been tossed around, and a little feedback, both pro and con have followed... well... we need MORE!!  More feedback, more ideas, suggestions, comments... Let's put something together where we can get reaquainted with our old friends and classmates... I strongly encourage you (each and everyone of you!) to email me right now!!  Tell me YOUR thoughts on our 30th reunion!  Ideas being tossed around:  park setting, byo food/drink picnic style... restaurant/bar setting... so let's hear from YOU!!

I've not been able to resolve major spam issues with the lhe77 message board and email addresses, so those function will remain disabled.   I'll be happy to post any info you'd like on a communications page, but the form style entry just is more trouble than it's worth!  I'll keep an eye open for a better system for that, but in the mean time, you can email me to post it for you. 07/15/05 update: It's been a while since I've posted any updates, so here goes!  Admittedly, I have been neglecting the site... since the last reunion, the traffic has dwindled, understandably, proportionately to my enthusiasm for working on it!  There is only a bit of news that I need to let everyone know about today.  LHE77.com has changed web servers and the email forwarders are no longer in operation.  You may have noticed that the message board has been temporarily disabled due to spam.  I have Nick alerted to the situation, and hopefully we will have that operational again some time in August (as he is going out of town for a few weeks)  Sorry, but message board is his baby, and is just a bit over my head.  I would like to encourage everyone to send me an email with updates to your information; kids' ages, where you live, or anything else that has changed since your original posting.  If you haven't submitted your info yet, please do it right now, so that we can contact you for future reunions!!  Hopefully this update finds all our classmates happy and healthy and enjoying their summer!!

11/03/02 UPDATE:  Glad to say, our reunion was an absolutely wonderful gathering last night!  All those in attendance had a wonderful time getting reacquainted as well as reminiscing about school days.  I know everyone is anxious to see some pictures...

06/29/02  UPDATE:  Our transition to our new server has been completed without downtime!  Thanks to Nick our technical webmaster for the smooth transition!  As far as we can see all items have been successfully transferred and operational.  If you discover any errors or emails not functioning properly, please contact webmaster@lhe77.com so that we can correct them immediately!   If you have not read the message board recently, please do so, as Laurie has posted two messages regarding our site and possible alternate reunion plans!  Any and all comments and suggestions are strongly encouraged!  WE NEED YOUR INPUT!!!   You can post a reply on the board to share you ideas, or directly to Laurie.

06/16/02 NOTE:  We are going to be changing our server sometime in the next few weeks (better price, more space, more options...)   This will most likely make our page go off line for a few days.  This means that all of our @LHE77 emails will also not be working.  We will do all we can do make this down time as short as possible.  I just wanted to post this note to make everyone aware of this well in advance, especially during our attempts to pull some kind of reunion together!!  Please note any 'direct' email addresses off individual profile pages for those friends that you may want to contact during that down time.   For any reunion communications, most of you already have Laurie's email , and for LHE77 website issues I can be contacted through mapgem@hotmail.com   When our actual down time is more closely determined I will post another update here!

06/05/02 UPDATE:    Laurie has received many e-mails since her announcement of the cancellation of our reunion, expressing disappointment about the reunion being cancelled.  I for one, have not given up hope of an alternate plan!!  Several of these emails have included ideas, suggestions, generous offers of monetary assistance and general helping out... and I'd like to encourage everyone to keep the email coming!  This is a milestone reunion and we have a great bunch of people that are the Class of '77!  I know some of our out of state classmates have already made plans to be in Michigan for August 2nd... we already have the date, now we just need the alternate plan!!  The message board is a great way to express yourself publicly for all our class to see, or via email to Laurie or webmaster@lhe77.com 

After a long wait (for which I must apologize for) I have finally posted some more past reunion pictures!  You can now (finally!) view pictures from our 5, 10, 15, and 20 yr reunions!  Check them out!  If you have any pictures to add, please let us know!  The more the merrier!  (Which also brings me around to a sad thought of perhaps no 25 yr pics... I'm not facing up to this cancellation very well, am I???  ... Denial??  Yup, I got it!!)

Also worth a mention here... it appears that some of the @lhe77.com personal email addresses are not functioning properly, or at least a few people haven't responded to their confirming email yet, even after several requests.   I will attempt to delete these entries and completely re-enter them as a last resort, and will make a note on those profiles that have not confirmed their email working properly yet!   Until they are confirmed I suggest you use any alternate email address for them, if posted  ... I guess maybe there's something to be said in favor of snail mail vs. email after all !!  ; )

06/02/02 UPDATE:     As many of you may already know, our 25 Reunion has been cancelled.  In case you did not receive your email from Laura, here is a copy...   We would very much like your feedback...  any suggestions, comments, ideas, alternate plans.....   please email your response to webmaster@lhe77.com or post them on our message board. 

Hello Class of '77 ...
It is with deep regret that I must cancel our 25 year reunion effective May 31.

We only rec'd 45 rsvps.  Many more showed an interest but few committed and sent a check.  We needed a minimum of 80 to break even since we have to pay for a min of 90 at the hall.  We have never had a problem with attendance in the past - always over 100.  Many who showed interest at classmates.com or on our sight www.lhe77.com (which really is a great web page done by Margaret Wolf Plettl - thank you so much Margaret for all your efforts!) never sent in a check and neither did many of the regulars who have attended all the past reunions.

I have already put out at least $500 for a nonrefundable hall deposit, printing, mailing expense, web sight fees (margaret wolf plettl), classmates.com fee, etc.-and have taken no money for any of it.  I will be returning all the checks received thus far.

I really enjoyed pulling it all together in the past, but it just did not work out this time.  This was my last effort as reunion coordinator.  It has been a pleasure.  If anyone else is interested in making an effort I am more than willing to share all of our past information and planning efforts.

05/27/02 UPDATE: Laura has asked me to express her concerns about the reunion here on the site.  We have not yet received enough paid rsvp's to meet the minimum required attendance for the hall.  The non-refundable deposit on the hall is due (as well as on the DJ) and Laura is getting very concerned!!   Laura has told me that many of you have stated your intent to attend, either on Classmates.com or directly to her, but haven't yet send in your rsvp.  There is also a considerable list of our classmates that have been 'regulars' at the past reunions that she hasn't heard from yet!!  If you are planning to attend and have not yet sent in your RSVP and check, PLEASE do so as soon as possible.  If you will not be attending, we also need to know!  Many hours of planning and preparation have already gone into our 25 Year Reunion and many of us are anxiously waiting for August 2nd to roll around... Well it's right around the corner and we need YOUR rsvp ASAP!!   Let's get them out to Laura right away!!

04/20/02 UPDATE:  There has been a change in location for our upcoming REUNION!  It will be held at The Barrister Gardens in SCS, where our previous reunions have been held.  Date and time remains the same.  Be sure to watch our "Upcoming Reunion" page for additional updates and details, which will  continue to be posted as soon as they become available!  As of this writing, we now have 24 of our class active on our site!  If you haven't submitted your info, please do it now!  Are you waiting for an old friend to register?  Let them know you're looking for them by putting a message on our message board!!  We've also received some current pictures and encourage you to send yours in too!!  Our business to business page is also waiting for you to use!!  If you have any ideas or suggestions please let us know!

11/29/01 UPDATE:  With the holidays on our heels, all of us will surely be wrapped up in the hustle bustle of the season and our site will take a back seat to holiday festivities!  As of this update we have 11 of our class alumni that have submitted their information, which has been posted to their profile page.  We will continue to update our site with every profile submitted and will be looking forward to receiving more pictures to add to the site!  A wish for all of our old friends, for health and happiness and a joyful holiday season!

10/17/01 UPDATE:  Hi everyone!! We've just added quite a few new things to our site!   Check it out!! 
     We'd like to send out a big "Thank You!"  to everyone who's already submitted their and profile!!  And as for the rest of you, what are you waiting for???!!!  We know you've been here to check out the site, and hope you'll come back frequently to check out the updates!  The 'Submit Your Info' form will only take you a few short minutes!!  So Just Do It!!!   (If you're using AOL, be sure to follow the special instructions!!)
